Frequently Asked Question
To ensure you receive accurate and reliable information, we strongly encourage members to use the proper channels to contact their Local committees and representatives. While social media platforms, such as Facebook groups, may seem convenient and filled with information, they are often unreliable. The answers provided by other Flight Attendants on these platforms may lack critical details or be outright incorrect.
Union representatives are not required to maintain or monitor social media accounts. Even if a representative is present on social media, they are not obligated to respond to tagged posts or inquiries in these spaces. For this reason, please refrain from tagging Union representatives on social media or relying on these platforms as your primary source of information.
The Best Way to Contact Your Representatives
If you have questions or need information, email is the most effective and professional method of communication. Most representatives receive email notifications on their phones and respond promptly. Their contact details are available on the Spirit AFA website.
Tip for Faster Responses:
Rather than contacting an individual representative, consider emailing an entire committee. For instance, if you have a scheduling-related inquiry, emailing the Local Scheduling Committee (same logic applies for other committees) ensures the first available representative will respond, reducing wait times compared to contacting one specific individual.
Contacting Local Committees
Committee email addresses are listed on your specific Local's webpage and are now base/local-specific. We have retired the general email distribution lists (ie: scheduling@spiritafa.com, etc.) You can find that under the Locals/Bases tab on the Spirit AFA website. Simply scroll down on your Locals page to find the relevant committee's contact list.
Here are quick links to your Local:
For Local Executive Council (LEC) Officers, visit the Locals/Bases tab on the Spirit AFA website to find their email addresses on your specific Local.
Explore the Spirit AFA-CWA Website
The Spirit AFA website is a valuable resource full of up-to-date and reliable information. We encourage you to explore the website, familiarize yourself with its content, and use it as your primary reference for Union-related matters.
Avoid Misinformation
To ensure you have the most accurate and complete information, avoid relying on social media, rumors, or galley gossip. Instead, use the proper channels to connect with your Union representatives or committees. By doing so, you’ll receive timely and accurate responses to your questions or concerns.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain effective communication within our community.
